Branding
Client Brief
Fresh and exciting whilst feeding off font design disciplines of the 60´s and 70´s was the guidelines for this re-branding exercise for a successful marketing company based in the south west of England. After an initial meeting where we threw around a few basic sketches, the next step was to refine the sketches into a working logo to fit within the Impress ethos.
The outcome
Curves were everywhere in the 60´s and 70´s and are a friendly element to use in any design so the end logo fed off this a lot. A flowing, modern font was used and split into three lines of colour for each letter. Five and four lines were tried but it was agreed to settle on just three to avoid cluttering up the logo and to keep it nice and flexible for scaling. The colours chosen were a preference from the client but they dictated their own order i.e. blue on the outside, purple in the middle supported by the green on the inside. The line running underneath the logo was designed as a wrap around element for anything it was used for from printed material to the website. A fun, funky and highly satisfying logo to create and both client and ourselves very happy with the result.
